Hatsune Miku - Hatsune Miku "Magical Mirai 2014" in OSAKA

初音ミク「マジカルミライ 2014」in OSAKA is the Osaka leg of the second Magical Mirai, the annual Hatsune Miku concert and exhibition organised by TOKYO MX and Crypton Future Media. The show was staged at Intex Osaka on August 30, 2014 - the concert filling Hall 5 and the exhibition floor Hall 4 next door - and the event moved to the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on September 20, with no exhibition of its own. It is the Osaka performance that was filmed and released, as what the jacket calls a 特別編集版: a special edit of the whole show, made for Blu-ray.

Miku appears with Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO and KAITO, projected in front of a live band - Takahiro Misawa on guitar, Tsuguhito Konno on bass, Kana Kurose on keyboards and Kensuke Ito on drums, with Kei Suzuki as sound producer and manipulator. The programme opens with the Opening Stage, a dance piece to EVALA's "High-energy Particle" performed by SAYA and YUKA of ELEVENPLAY and choreographed by MIKIKO. Twenty-two songs follow, from "Kagerou Daze" to "ODDS&ENDS", and the encore is three - "Sweet Devil", "shake it!" and "39" - with the players introduced from the stage in a chapter of its own between the last two. The disc closes over "Next Nest", the event's theme song, which 2014 was the one year nobody performed live. The stage graphics are SEGA's, made with MARZA Animation Planet; the jacket illustration is MONQ's.

Twenty-four of the twenty-six songs reached KARENT's digitally released live album of this same performance, which the label says was edited 権利上の都合により - for rights reasons. The two that did not are "High-energy Particle" and "Wonderland to Hitsuji no Uta", and the album carries no talk tracks either.
