The company was established in 1999 as Studio Cube Co., Ltd. Takami Yukihisa (Noguchi Takayuki) served as its president, and it developed a variety of businesses including design, music, games, illustration, and voice actor training.
In July 2007, Up-Front Style Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Up-Front Group, was established. Takami also served as its president, and, in addition to training voice actors, launched the HAPPY! STYLE project in May 2008.
In July 2011, Takami and the main staff left Up-Front Style. On July 13 of the same year, Studio Cube Co., Ltd. was reorganized as Style Cube Co., Ltd. Most of the talent from Up-Front Style transferred to the company.
In recent years, the company has increasingly focused on operating as a voice talent agency. In April 2013, it opened the Style Academy training school.
In 2016, it established Junkers, its in-house sound production section. On March 10 of the same year, it established Solid Cube Co., Ltd. (SOLID CUBE), a company engaged in motion capture services. On March 30, 2017, it leased the former headquarters studio of Tabac in Kitashinjuku, Shinjuku, without alteration and reopened it as its own Studio Yumo. In November 2021, it relocated to Shinanomachi, Shinjuku, and newly opened as Studio Sierra.
Although it is often thought to be an agency affiliated with the Up-Front Group, Style Cube was originally established by Takami and has no connection whatsoever with the Up-Front Group.
