Overview

Opened in June 1996. It was located facing Ichibancho 4-chome Shopping Park, an arcade shopping street in Sendai’s downtown district.

Live performances spanning a wide range of genres, including rock, hardcore, mixture, and visual kei, are held there by major-label, independent, and amateur artists alike. Its concept is a live club space that can be enjoyed even by discerning listeners, and it boasts an outstanding sound system with a strong sense of immediacy.

Operations were suspended after the tenant building sustained severe damage in the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011, leading the building’s owner to decide to demolish it. On October 8, 2011, it relocated to new premises along the Sun Mall Ichibancho Shopping Street, with the circuit event “MEGA☆ROCKS 2011” serving as its inaugural event.

In 2022, it opened a sister venue called ROCKATERIA on the former site of Hook SENDAI, which had closed at the end of 2019.
