The Show
The last night of 期間再延長再集結 35++執念の大黒ミサツアー, played at 国立代々木競技場第一体育館 on February 15, 2023: the tour's 千秋楽, the band's sixth disbandment, and the close of a run staged for the 35th anniversary of their debut on Earth - a project the package names in English as EXTENDED LIMITED REUNION and The 35th Anniversary of Debut on the Earth. It went out live on WOWOW and to 31 cinemas, Sapporo to Kumamoto, and reached disc on November 29, 2023 as a single dual-layer Blu-ray running about three hours and five minutes.
A good deal of that is talk rather than music. Five numbered TALK segments, the announcement before the curtain, a 前口上 before 蠟人形の館 and a long corner answering questions from the congregation sit between the songs, and the set closes on a medley - Epilogue, which folds THE BLOODIESTS -最も血生臭い奴ら-, 永遠の詩 -A Song Of The Deceased-, LOVE LETTER FROM A DEAD END and WHAT'S HAPPENING? back together after two of the four have already been played in their own right.
Packaging and Liner Notes
One disc in a standard case: a wrap carrying the front jacket, the spine and the back panel, a single insert, and five uncaptioned portraits of the members on the inside of the wrap. The contents list is printed twice - three columns on the back panel, five on the insert's inner spread - and both number the same 31 entries.
The insert alone carries the package's one production note, a ※ under entry
- The SE, 「悪魔組曲作品666番ニ短調」序曲：心の叫び, is played over the voices of
the congregation recorded at the Nippon Budokan on the final night of the 30th-anniversary Daikoku Mass: a different hall, and a different disbandment, seven years earlier. It is stated nowhere else - not on the back panel, not on the label's own page for the release, and not on the entry for the same night's three-CD edition.
Nobody is credited. There is no credits panel, no personnel list and no production block anywhere on the object; the member portraits carry no names, and the only performer attribution printed at all is the parenthesis beside entry 8, (KAMISORI SYUTO solo), which names no instrument.
