Donnie Hamzik is an American drummer from Binghamton, New York. Although he temporarily left the heavy metal band Manowar, he returned to the group in 2009.

Hamzik joined Manowar after the band's original drummer, Carl Canedy, left in 1981. Manowar leader and bassist Joey DeMaio, accompanied by a friend, saw Hamzik perform at the rock club Agora Ballroom in Hollywood, Florida. Less than a year after their meeting, Manowar signed with Liberty Records and recorded its debut album, Battle Hymns, in Florida with DeMaio and Ross the Boss. Hamzik then officially joined Manowar as a member.

He left Manowar in 1983 and was replaced by Scott Columbus. However, when former and current Manowar members gathered at the Earthshaker Fest in Germany in 2005, Hamzik also appeared and performed on drums.

In 2009, Hamzik returned to Manowar following the departure of Scott Columbus, participating in the 2009 Magic Circle Festival and the recording of the single “Thunder in the Sky”. On October 15, 2010, DeMaio officially announced via Facebook that Hamzik had returned as an official member for the first time in 26 years.
