History
Translated from the ja.wikipedia article 関西東通 (CC BY-SA 4.0), revision 111155928.
The company was established in July 1985 as T.D.C. Co., Ltd. In 2005, it received the transfer of operations for four divisions from Totsu Create, which later merged with Totsu AV Center to become the present Totsu Infinity, and changed its corporate name to Totsu Techno Service Co., Ltd. in April of the same year.
During this period, Osaka Totsu, a Totsu subsidiary established in 1968 that had business relationships with television stations in Osaka, applied for protection under the Civil Rehabilitation Act and went bankrupt in 2001 due to financial difficulties and a shortage of funds for capital investment to accommodate terrestrial digital television broadcasting. Totsu's head office subsequently became the successor entity and took over its operations as the company's Osaka branch. In 2010, Totsu Techno Service succeeded to the operations of Totsu's Osaka branch, and changed to its current corporate name in February of the same year, which it retains today. Totsu, its former parent company, was integrated on April 1, 2021 into TBS Act Co., Ltd., through a merger with TBS Art & Technology and 12 technology-related companies under the TBS Holdings Group and the Totsu Group; however, this company did not change its corporate name.
